Only 5% of Tasmanian Podiatrist are yet to renew their registrations.
Registered health professionals with an expiry date of 30 November 2011 are now in the late payment period of renewal. The late payment fee applies to practitioners who apply to renew during the one month late period outlined in the National Law, in addition to the annual renewal fee. This fee is now payable for those practitioners who had not lodged an application by 30 November 2011 and do so before 31 December 2011.
Practitioners who do not renew registration within one month of their registration expiry date must be removed from the National Register. Their registration will lapse and they will not be able to practise in Australia until a new application is approved. Practitioners in this cohort can apply to AHPRA for a fast-track application for registration during January 2012. These practitioners should note that they are not able to practise in their profession until their fast-track registration application has been processed and approved.
